The Council's environmental mascot Rhys Cycle was invited to attend Ton Pentre Primary school today where he met the pupils and staff.

The pupils were very concerned that there is still not enough people recycling and hoped that by Rhys Cycle talking to them about recycling and environmental issues that they can hopefully persuade everybody to change and look after their own environment before its to late.

By recycling we use less energy and less of the earth's natural resources.

Everyone in Rhondda Cynon Taf can recycle from home through the kerbside recycling scheme. Recycling bags can be obtained free from your collection crew or by calling 01443 494700. You can also pick them up from libraries, Communities First offices or the Council's One4All centres or alternatively leave a sticker/note on your bags requesting more before you run out.
